Many tweaks and updates have been concentrated on the Google Pixel 6 series lately. Last two weeks, many Pixel 6 users complained of some issues which jeopardized their smartphone experience. Google provided some solutions to that using updates and simple instructions. Then, sources talked about the Big G bringing the Face Unlock to the Pro version of the Pixel 6 as well as an Android 13 spatial audio feature.
The company working on a face unlock for the Pixel 6 pro was confirmed by an XDA recognized developer, Freak07, who spotted a new change related to the feature in the PowerHAL configuration file in Android 12 QPR3 Beta 1.1. Google seems to tag the internal code name for the face unlock as Tuscany.
Android 13 spatial Audio feature
Yesterday, Google released the Android 13 Beta build for specific Pixel devices and according to Mishaal Rahman, files in the Android 13 build were found to contain the spatial audio feature just like Apple. The amazing feature claims to add more dimension to things listened to through headphones using some software tweaks.
Although this spatial effect is available on Android 13, it isn’t fully enabled. According to gsmarena, a shared library for this feature was found in the “sound fx” folder and suggests that the Android 13 spatial audio feature will arrive on the Google Pixel Duo when Android 13 officially begins rollout in the coming months.
We are yet to confirm if the feature will be available on the Pixel 6, older Pixel devices, or even on the Pixel buds. But making this feature available on the Pixel 6 will help the Big G compete with Apple in terms of quality sound. This should also prompt the company to add the feature to a new product to rival the Airport Max.
