Google is on course to release the stable Android 15 update in the coming months. We have seen a couple of beta updates in the past few months, and there are more to come before the upgrade reaches a stable build. The latest release is the Android 15 beta 3.1, a follow-up to Android 15 beta 3, which arrived a couple of weeks ago.
The latest update is rolling out to eligible users to improve performance and resolve issues reported after the previous release. As expected, Google has addressed and fixed some of these problems. After the Android 15 beta 3 upgrade, the lock screen widget became unusable, prompting users to unlock their phones before interacting with it. We understand Google has addressed the issue with the new update.
Also, Pixel users reported issues with biometric face unlock. There were times when the feature did not work on Android 15 beta 3, but that has been resolved. In addition, Google fixed other issues that “were impacting system stability, connectivity, and audio quality.”
Meanwhile, the issue with adaptive charging has remained for some users. It takes hours to charge their Pixel phones, and that affected the overnight charging with users waking up to find their phones not fully charged. Of course, that defeats the aim of the function, but we believe it is something Google will address with a future update.

Google is rolling the update over the air, meaning you should get a prompt notification if you are a registered beta tester. Nevertheless, you can download the OTA or Factory Image and install it manually. Remember to back up your data before installing the update, as beta updates are not stable and should not be used on a daily driver.
