Back in 2018, POCO, then under Xiaomi, announced the Pocophone F1, which already had a successor dubbed the POCO F2 Pro. The device with its aggressive pricing was giving a warm welcome, which made Xiaomi early this year pronounce the line as an independent brand.

The Poco brand, then released the POCO X2, a rebadged Redmi K30 4G before introducing the Poco F2 Pro, which is the global version of Redmi K30 Pro. Haven gained many fans, particularly in India, the brand is about to introduce a new smartphone series in the country on July 7.

The first device under the series will be called POCO M2 Pro. The device has been on the rumor mill for months now, but no much has been revealed about the device, and we expect to learn all of that during the launch event.

Meanwhile, according to the official teaser released by the company, which revealed some part of the rear design, the device will feature a Quad-camera set up. It will be arranged on a square plate with the LED coming underneath, just like the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which agrees with the previous report.

The early report claimed the POCO M2 Pro to be a rebadged Redmi Note 9 Pro, and if that’s true, then we’re going to see a 6.67-inch display phone running Snapdragon 720G under the hood. The fingerprint scanner will be mounted on the power button, which has been partly confirmed in a video teaser from the company.

The device will have a big 5020mAh battery with support for up to 30W fast charging, which has also been confirmed in a teaser released by the company as well. Other features of the Poco M2 Pro will include a primary 64MP, 5MP ultrawide-angle-lens, 5MP Macro, and 2MP depth sensor while the selfie shooter will sport a 16MP lens.

The sale of Poco M2 Pro will be exclusive on Flipkart, and the e-commerce store has promised to reveal some details of the device tomorrow, watch this space.
