Xiaomi is constantly improving its MIUI Android skin. The company is currently rolling out the Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 to improve device performance and stability. Although the build didn’t bring physical changes, the company keeps adding new ones with each closed beta release. The latest MIUI Alpha Gallery app has added a map function and fixes bugs affecting the app performance.
The Map function introduced by the latest MIUI Alpha Gallery app is what Samsung added with the OneUI 4 beta update. Initially, the location of your photos and videos shows if enabled. However, with the recent update, you can look for these locations on the map. That might come in handy when you want to revisit the location but need a Google map or something similar to locate it.
The update also added a photo organization module. It helps to arrange photos and videos more conveniently. Aside from the new additions, the update optimized the album page layout. After updating your Gallery App, Albums created by you and the ones by other applications will be in a separate album. As usual, the update optimized performance, fixed bugs, and improved user experience.
Meanwhile, getting the latest MIUI Gallery app is the Chinese branch of MIUI. It has a version number – V2.3.1 – and weighs in at 76MB. Of course, you can always download the APK file and install it. If it doesn’t work after installation, go to settings>>Apps>>Gallery App>>uninstall updates. That will take the app to the previous build, and everything will work fine.

Xiaomi is pushing a new update to the MIUI Alpha Gallery app. It comes with a version number – V3.0.0.1-N and weighs in at 76MB. The update brings optimized photo album solder, shows a chronological bar with all the years of your photos.
