While many Xiaomi phones are yet to receive their first Android 11 build, some are already getting a second build. The Xiaomi Mi 10T / Pro received the Android 11 update in Europe at the beginning of this month. It was a Stable Beta build, and from the feedback, the update introduced some bugs. Hence, the update was delayed for a public rollout, but going by recent reports, a new New Android 11-based MIUI 12 update for Mi 10T/ Pro has been released in Europe.
The new update will arrive for Mi Pilot (Beta Testers) for now. They’ll preview the build to see if the reported bugs have been fixed. If at the end of the preview period no bug is detected, then the rollout will be opened to the public. However, the feedback so far has been positive. Those running the new New Android 11-based MIUI 12 update for Mi 10T/ Pro claims the build has improved the system performance. The animation is more smooth as well as general operation with the phone.
Unfortunately, unlike the Mi 10T-Lite that supports SA 5G mode, the recent update didn’t bring the feature to the Pro Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro. Aside from that, the update seems to have beefed up the system by improving the overall performance. Also, there haven’t been reports of crashes or lag, and therefore, you should install the update when prompted. If you wish to side-load the recovery ROM, you will need an authorized Mi Beta account or compatible TWRP Recovery.
Meanwhile, the current build comes with a February security patch level to increase system security. That outdated, given that the March security patch already arrived for Mi 10T / Pro in some regions. We expect the current patch to roll out soon, but first, you need to install the MIUI 12.1.4.0 RJDEUXM build that weighs in at 3.0GB.
