Days after a stable update started arriving on Mi 9T, Xiaomi has now released a new Mi 9 stable update. The stable update is arriving with a build number of MIUI 11.0.4.0 QFARUXM. From the build number, the update is a Global Russian Stable ROM, and will progressively get to all compatible devices ( running the latest and official Global Stable ROM) via OTA.

The new Mi 9 stable update is aimed at bug fixes, system optimization, and enchantment. Below is the complete Changelog of the new update.

Status Bar, Notification Shade

  • Fix: Couldn’t open notification settings in the notification shade in second space
  • Fix: Couldn’t open notification shade in some cases

Other

  • Fix: Images overlapped in scrolling screenshot

Unfortunately, at the time of this report, we were not able to confirm other change that’s coming with the update, but the update is safe to download.

You should be able to receive the update via OTA through your Updater app. Also, we have added a link so you can manually download and flash the ROM if you can’t wait for the OTA.

Note: we won’t be responsible for any damage flashing this ROM might cause to your device. We recommend you wait for OTA if this will be your first time flashing MIUI ROM. Nevertheless, you can proceed with the below guide on how to flash MIUI ROM at your own risk

Flashing Guide

  • If you’re using the official and latest MIUI ROM, you will get the update through OTA on your phone.
  • If you’re using old MIUI ROM/Beta ROM/China Developer ROM, then you might need an unlocked bootloader before attempting the flashing process.
  • This guide here will teach you everything on unlocking bootloader for every Xiaomi phone.
  •  Check here and learn how to flash MIUI ROM via Recovery/ Fastboot.
